There is a shortage of supportive and affordable housing in the northwestern suburbs of Cook County. This harsh reality was the driving force behind the creation of the Journeys’ Pathways Program. Journeys searched for and developed a strong partnership with a local real estate owner in order to be able to offer its clients an affordable living situation.

The Pathways Program offers hope for someone ready to take the next step in moving out of homelessness The Program prepares clients to become housing ready while providing referrals and placement. Once housed, Journeys’ clinical team provides clients with the necessary support and counseling services to promote stability and housing maintenance. Clients’ goals are monitored and supervised through one-on-one clinical guidance to increase the potential for self-sufficiency and the final goal of maintaining permanent housing.
