During the 2008-2009 season, Journeys from PADS to HOPE served about 660 clients through the HOPE Center and 400 guests at the PADS sites. The HOPE Center delivered over 30,000 services, and the PADS sites provided 15,676 overnight stays and served over 47,000 meals throughout the season. Through the combined efforts of our volunteers and staff, we were successful in transitioning a record 95 clients out of homelessness and almost 500 clients in the past eight seasons out of an emotionally degrading life and into one of hope and independence.
Our commitment to serving the homeless is boundless. Journeys’ employees are assisted by a pool of 3,000 volunteers who put in over 42,775 hours a year and experience countless opportunities for human engagement and hope for a better future for our homeless neighbors.
