If you have entered this site, you may be a person who was born to do charitable work, or perhaps a series of circumstances or life-changing events drew you here. Whatever your reason, we appreciate your interest and hope that if you decide to volunteer at Journeys, you have a rewarding and joyous experience!
Beginning in September 2009, Journeys is conducting mandatory orientations at its Palatine facility for all new PADS and HOPE Center volunteers. Returning volunteers are invited to attend as a refresher. The orientation will focus on the agency.s organizational structure; how to interact with the homeless; and on general volunteer opportunities at the PADS sites, HOPE Center, and Development Department administrative offices. Orientations are 1-2 hours in length and no reservation is required.
