*POSITION OPENING*

DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

The Development Associate will be responsible for maintaining the donor and client databases; generating agency reports and statistics; providing support for fundraising events; researching and building donor contacts; participating in community outreach activities; and coordinating the volunteer staff of the HOPE Center. This position is full-time and reports to the Development Director.

CANDIDATES WITHOUT ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCY WITH ACCESS DATABASE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Qualifications:

1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access database, ResultsPlus donor database, and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Publisher).
2. 2-4 years experience in event planning and coordination
3. Experience with non-profit fundraising
4. Ability to represent agency to community and supporters
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Strong attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and multi-tasking ability
7. Ability to take initiative and self-motivate with a strong capacity for both independent and team work
8. Interest in and commitment to the fundraising process for programs that benefit homeless population
9. Experience training and coordinating volunteers
